YU Everest 79

YU Everest 79 tells the story of the most successful alpinist expedition of former Yugoslavia: the ascent of Mount Everest (8,848 m) via the West Ridge in 1979, one of the greatest achievements of its time. Led mainly by Slovenian climbers and joined by Croatian and Bosnian teammates, five alpinists reached the summit. The feat, later praised by Reinhold Messner, remains a landmark in the history of Himalayan mountaineering.
