Sílvia Vidal (Spain): Sincronia màgica

Sílvia is a Catalan big wall climber known for her solo climbs in remote locations and with total autonomy: without radio, telephone, or GPS. She climbs steep walls around the world: Himalaya, Andes, Patagonia, Karakorum… with total isolation and no means of communication. In 2021 she got a Piolet d’Or special mention when her name appeared on the awards list after her solo ascent of Sincronia màgica on Cerro Chileno Grande (Patagonia), were she spent thirty-three days on the wall, living in a portaledge.
