Reinhard Karl – The art of climbing a mountain

In his illustrated book “Erlebnis Berg: Zeit zum Atmen” (Mountain Experience: Time to Breathe), mountaineer, writer and photographer Reinhard Karl expressed the attitude to life of a generation of mountaineers and climbers. The Heidelberg native had a unique ability to express his own thoughts, feelings and experiences on the mountain in words and pictures. Author and filmmaker Tom Dauer uses the example of artist Clara Happ to show that Reinhard’s works have lost none of their uniqueness.
